We love filming emotive experiences especially with such a lovely couple and in Scotland we have the wonderful landscape to do it in. I think it’s because no matter if it’s dark and cloudy or bright sunshine you can capture a couples journey and thats the most important thing.
Plus the chance of an engagement video as well gave us more time to be creative and get to know Joanna and Phil which was lovely. Who needs tea and cake?
Engagement video
We were delighted when Joanna + Phil choose us to be apart of their whimsical wedding day.
We first met them and their amazing dog, “Locki”, who Tracy fell just a little bit in love with, at their engagement shoot at Drumlanrig Castle. The Engagement video shows a wonderful intimate time between Joanna and Phil before they take the next steps in their life’s down the aisle. That sounds a little scary but as you can see from the videos its totally not and they are having the time of their lives. After all your wedding day is going to be something you and your family and friends talk about for years and years so why not do something a little different and tell your story so far!
At the beginning we asked Phil and Joanna what they loved to do and they replied with “walking their dog in the woods” and as it turned out Phil competed in lots of running races in Scotland. So the engagement video was a must in the rural setting of Drumlanrig Castle. We found rivers, fields and little path ways around the forest. The perfect setting. Plus Locki the dog was loving it.
The Wedding day
This was our first time at Dunksey Estate and it did not disappoint we cant wait to go back! A beautiful country house with rolling hills and a beach! it had everything. Joanna and Phil wanted to explore it all. The fire pit was the best place to capture the guests having a laugh and a chuckle over a wee dram. The marquee was lovely and as the night closed in it made for the place to be when the band got jumping. Don’t forget the sparkler shot very important lol 🙂
